*NEW YORK — ESSENCE, the number one content, commerce and technology company aimed at Black women, today announced July 4-7, 2019 as the official dates for its franchise event, the ESSENCE Festival®.  2019 will mark the ESSENCE Festival’s 25th anniversary, with a 4-day celebration set to take place in New Orleans, Louisiana.

On the heels of this year’s record-setting Festival, which attracted more than 510,000 attendees and achieved a first-ever sell-out of its 3-night concert series, the Essence Fest community is encouraged to register here for information and early access to 2019 weekend ticket packages.

“The ESSENCE Festival represents culture, community and a powerful convening around one of the largest curated content experiences in the world,” commented ESSENCE Communications President Michelle Ebanks.  “As we look forward to the Festival’s 25th anniversary celebration in 2019, we will continue to offer curated platforms of entertainment, empowerment, entrepreneurship, activism and more that will both engage and inspire Black women globally.”

The reach and scale of the annual ESSENCE Festival is unmatched, with more than 100 performing artists across the Louisiana Superdome and the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. In addition, more than 200 influencers, leaders, creators and celebrities participated in the Festival’s daytime experience – rebranded as ‘Conference & Expos’ with programming across eight tracks spanning Beauty & Style to Business & Entrepreneurship.

Also engaging millions across the globe, simultaneous live streams of the daytime experience on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, and partnerships with Getty, IGTV and Snapchat Live ultimately generated trending status on social media.
